Florence, Italy

Jerome visited Florence twice during his time in Italy. The first, in March 1945 was to attend a Passover Seder with other Jewish soldiers, a experience he described in a April 2nd letter as "the most impressive gathering I have ever attended."

Jerome returned to Florence in July 1945 with the majority of the 10th Mountain Division to go through redeployment training before shipping back to the United States.
