Bailey (Old) [document describing Bailey's Crossroads Elementary School]

Title

Bailey (Old) [document describing Bailey's Crossroads Elementary School]

Subject

University of Virginia--Extension Division
Bailey's Crossroads (Va.)

Description

Item appears to be an internal document of Fairfax County Schools and is marked as such in top left hand corner. This is a 1-page typed description of the former Bailey's Crossroads Elementary School located at 5836 Columbia Pike at the corner of Columbia Pike and Va. Route 7. It features a small (2.5" x 2") photograph of the school taken from the south side of the building. The date c.1958 is inscribed below the typed text. While the photo and document does appear to be from the 1950s, it is probably closer to 1955 or 1956 when it was abandoned by the Fairfax County school system.
