Rx two Galons of very strong ale 1 galon of sack. a peck of Gardn shell snailes make a Charkole fire and when its thorow hot make a hole in the fire & put the snailes in and let thm waste so long as thay continue huting then take thm oute of the fire and wipe thm cleane and bruse thm in a morter: put thm all in to the wine & ale put in Eight ounces of harts horne & 6 of cloves bruised in a morter with 2 good handfuls of angelico leaves & stalks, Egeremone, wood sorell bears tooth Beteny Dock roots of each 2 hand fuls Rue half a hand full, peny riall Tormentell of Each one ounce, Saferen poudered six peny worth
