A remedy for hemorrhoid treatment using barley water, almonds, and nitre (possibly soda ash or sodium bicarbonate).
Transcript
To a Quart of Barly-water put 12 Almonds a desert spoonful of Gum Arabic, and a Tea spoonful of purified nitre. A tea-cup ful to be taken three or four times a day.
