A remedy for spasms with camphire (possibly 'camphor'), sugar, brandy, sal volatile (ammonium carbonate) and laudanum.

Take ten Grains of Camphire a lump of sugar and a tea spoonful of Brandy beat them together in a mortar, when dissolved add two drams of [Contect] Cordial and by [illegible] one pint of pepper mint water forty drops sal Volatile and forty drops of Laudanum. Take two or three table spoonsfull.
