[inserted left margin: first let Blood] Take 4 quarts of Strong Ale put to it Rue wormwood & Cardus of Each half a hand full 2 ounces of filed pewtter & 4 ounces of Garlick boyll all to geather untill half be consumed thn strain it and desolve in it 4 ounces of Methridate, give three Larg Spounefulls 3 mornings to geather and it [strikeout] bit blistter the place & keep it open untill the full Moone or Chang and then repeat the Same quantity 3 mornings to geather
