Description
A medicinal preparation for dissolving stones (probably kidney stones) made from powder from oyster shells, eggshells, ale, white wine. The resulting medicine should be taken with a posset; directions are also given for a liquid made of boiled nettled and broom to aid the medicine that the powder can be taken in.

Rx large Oystershells open them & take out the whit powder take quantity of that powder & the like of Egshells take out the Skin calcine both in a Crucible each by it self then beat them to powder & sers them: then take one spounfull of these equally mixt in possit drink of halfe Ale & halfe white wine and drink it puting in to the posset drink an handfull of green- broom & an handfull Nettels & giveing it a boyle when drinkable put in the afforesaid powders a spounfull and drink a draught the broom & Nettles being dieiereticks guid the Virtue of the powders
