[Inserted left: fo the 38] Snailes put thm in to faire water 2 houres thn take thm out & bruse thm [strikeout] in the shels lightly, put thm in to a Paile of water and wash thm till the shels ccome of thn put thm in to a cleane Cloth and hang thm up till the Water be dreaned from thm thn put thm in to a galen of Red Cowes Milch & let thm boyle one houre thn put thm in to a still with one handfull of spearemintt, Distill Take here of 6 spounefuls of it at Morning 6 at Night 6 at Noone when you sweten it let it be with suger Candy White
